Diversity, Inclusion, and Implicit Bias:
An Interview with Song Richardson

L. Song Richardson, dean and Chancellor’s Professor of Law at the University of California, Irvine School of Law and a leading expert on implicit bias, will discuss how to foster a more diverse and inclusive fund director community, in an interview by Julie Hill, independent director at Lord Abbett Funds. Richardson was the only woman of color to lead a top 30 law school at the time of her appointment, and on July 1, will become the president of Colorado College, the first woman of color to serve in that role.
Julie Hill, a trustee and board member of the Lord Abbett Family of Funds, is also an independent director on the board of Anthem Inc. and has served on several corporate boards. She is the first woman chair of the Board of Trustees of the University of California, Irvine, and is a past chair of the UCI CEO Roundtable. She is also an advisory board member of Leaders’ Quest and the Alliance for SoCal Innovation.
